THE ART OF RŪTA KONČIŪTĖ-SALIKLIENĖ
Rūta Končiūtė-Saliklienė completed a B.A. in painting and graphic arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She continued her studies at Syracuse University where she received an M.A. from Museum Studies. Her thesis was an exhibition of avant-garde book sculptures. She herself creates books in this format. She also makes her own paper from various plants, in addition to spinning and weaving. Often she incorporates these materials in her creations.
